POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Document project requirements from management, end users and various technical resources to establish clear project objectives, limitations, risks and scope.
Perform and/or lead user acceptance testing on new processes.
Lead and manage continuous improvement projects (across various departments – when necessary) to drive operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and develop actionable plans.
Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to analyze current processes, identify root causes of inefficiencies, and implement effective solutions.
Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on continuous improvement principles and practices.
Monitor and report on the progress of improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Facilitate workshops and kaizen events to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
Work closely with senior leadership to align continuous improvement efforts with the overall business strategy.
Drive change management initiatives to ensure smooth implementation of process improvements, addressing any resistance and fostering buy-in across all levels of the organization.
Develop and execute change management plans, including communication strategies, training, and support mechanisms, to facilitate successful adoption of new processes and practices.
Manage the Coaches’ program and prioritize work allocation, training, and problem resolution.
Works collaboratively with risk management team to reduce liability through training, education and awareness.
Develops and implements record keeping procedures of training records and ensure records are in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and standards.
Recruit and train staff.
Inspect, evaluate and recommend improvements to workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
Recommend new programs, policies and procedures and assist in their creation.
Evaluate employee performance to ensure they are meeting or exceeding production, safety and housekeeping policies and procedures.
Develop recommendations and implement actions that motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
Address performance and safety issues through counseling /discipline, and consulting with Operations, HR and union representatives as appropriate and/or necessary.
Prepare reports and correspondence; design needed forms involved in training and warehousing processes.
Participate in the development of operating goals and objectives for the warehouse; recommends, implements, and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations.
Schedule meetings with new hires to explain productivity standards.
Ensure Powered Industrial Equipment operator observations are complete and approve authorizations to operate the equipment.
Actively participates in safety committee and shift start meetings.
Builds and maintains positive relationships throughout the warehouse and with other AGNE departments.
Performs regular check-ins with newly trained associates to evaluate the effectiveness of the training and the individual’s ongoing development needs.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Lean Black Belt Certification
Proficiency is MS office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Ability to analyze and interpret data.
Basic math skills
Critical thinking skills
Ability to speak to large groups.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Knowledge of the English language
Strong organizing and coordinating skills.
Ability to supervise and develop staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry specific safety practices
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
Knowledge of warehousing methodology and material transport procedures.
Ability to determine product, equipment, and supplies usability.

REPORTING TO THIS POSITION: Warehouse training lead person(s) and trainers

INDIRECT REPORTING TO THIS POSITION: Warehouse supervisors and employees

NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
Ability to work varying shift schedules.
No or very limited physical effort required.
No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
Some work performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Some exposure to extreme cold -20 degrees.
Ability to stand, walk on hard concrete surfaces.
Ability to hear horns, buzzers, alarms and Vocollect.
