Join Our Team: Director of Transportation

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for optimizing transportation operations? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Transportation to lead our transportation department. In this pivotal role, you will drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. If you have a strong background in transportation and logistics management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction, we want to hear from you!

This position is based at our Pembroke, NH office. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Execute Strategies: Create and implement transportation strategies aligned with company goals.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing transportation team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Optimize Operations: Implement best practices in routing, scheduling, and load planning to optimize fleet utilization and reduce transit times.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

Customer Focus: Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to align transportation services with customer needs and expectations.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
8-10 years of progressive experience in transportation and logistics management.
Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
