POSITION SUMMARY

This position supports the company mission statement by developing software solutions to provide information for an efficient and innovative organization and its customers. The individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications using a variety of technologies. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to lead development projects, and a deep understanding of software development best practices.
DEVELOPER/PROGRAMMER III RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust, efficient, highly scalable, and cost-effective cloud-based solutions (Microsoft Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory) on time and within budget.
Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, principles, and architectures, with hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and Azure Active Directory.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows coding standards and guidelines acorss various platforms.
Develops and maintains applications and databases by evaluating requirements from a Business Analyst.
Participate in requirements gathering, sprint planning, dialy stand ups and retrospectives, to drive continuous improvement and delivery.
Plans, designs, develops, tests and maintains SQL databases, data migration/ETL processes and integrations, NET 6 applications, Business Intelligence applications.
Works with internal customers/departments on technical issues including software system design, maintenance and optimization.
Recommends improvements to existing software programs as necessary.
Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues in software applications, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
Consults with IT staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development, recommending improvements and innovations to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Developer, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate or other Azure certifications.
Design and creation of analytical reports using a BI tool (Power BI, Tableau), web technologies such as Java, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, C#, .NET/NET6, CSS (6-8 years’ experience minimum).
Creation of relational databases in a SQL data warehouse, Microsoft SQL Server, My SQL.
WebFocus WF Version 8207 Language, WF Managed Reporting, INFOASSIST, Report Caster, Data Migrator highly preferred.
Have working knowledge of platforms like Visual Studio.
Experience working through all phases of the SDLC from requirements gathering thru go-live (4-5 years’ experience minimum).
Experience with agile-scrum methodologies, time estimates and sprint planning as a developer. JIRA and Bitbucket experience preferred.
Strong experience with the use of business intelligence and analytics tools.
Knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming, and application development.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a team environment, but also the ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
General knowledge of industry best practices for software development, including SAS methodologies.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to quality and detail, self-motivation and a desire to succeed.
Production Support for break-fix and project / sprint test debugging.
Ability to clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary.
Ability to work within appropriate time constraints for deliverables, not limited to agile sprint methodologies.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is normally performed in a typical interior / office work environment.
Minimal physical activity required.
No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
