The schedule for this position is:
Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility depending on departmental needs. Must be available to work flexible hours as needed, including holidays and weekends.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Coordinates the AGNE transportation system including the preparation of truck driver schedules, route assignments, special deliveries when requested by Customer Service, and Ryder/Penske appointments.
Participates in planning, servicing, and billing processes for customer special requests as needed.
Frequent communication with union transportation employees, customers and vendors to include providing general information regarding policies and procedures, referring questions and concerns to Supervisor or Manager as applicable.
Inputs and maintains transportation computer network system [ Power Fleet] to ensure transportation is operating efficiently and meeting customer requirements.
Maintains and audits records including, but not limited to, DOT driver logs and lists, run sheets, statistical data related to transportation system usage, and truck maintenance records.
Develops record keeping procedures and manages appropriate department records in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and standards.
Maintains needed supplies for the drivers
Coordinate orders and create route solutions utilizing necessary tools to ensure best shipping methods.
Monitor deliveries from drivers including direct, seasonal and 3rd party associates and communicate any issues with late deliveries, etc.
Assists Transportation Supervisor in weekly planning to organize the flow of work, keeping drivers informed about scheduling, labor planning and routes as necessary.
Contact customers to provide notification of delivery, verify address and confirm directions. Obtain customer feedback regarding service, drivers, and claims and quality of product.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED with 2 to 4 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments.
Knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures.
Skill in the use of computers and related software applications.
Knowledge of federal laws including DOT, state and local safety regulations, protocols and procedures.
Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
Must be able work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Must be available to work flexible hours as needed, including holidays and weekends.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.

NON ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: CDL-A License and/or experience working in a union environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
No or very limited physical effort required.
No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
