Description: Bedford School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE School Social Worker to start August 2023 during school time (no weekends).

Job Summary:  School social worker assists students with academic learning by providing strategic services that identify and address the social-emotional environmental issues that interfere with the educational process. The school social worker helps students and families make the best use of the available opportunities and resources and brings to the educational process an understanding of the psychosocial development of children and the influences of family, community and cultural differences. The social worker implements strategies that promote student’s positive school adjustment.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work
NH State License as a Social Worker LICSW; or LCSW*
Three or more years’ experience in a school environment
