School District Float Nurse

Description:
4 days per week working District wide as a Registered Nurse. 7 hours per day. $225 per day. This position follows the school calendar and is required to work summers during extended school year programming.

Job Summary:
Provides substitute and additional coverage as needed in all schools serving pre-kindergarten through high school.  This position will float among the schools on an established rotational schedule if/when substitute coverage is not requested/needed.
This position may also provide nurse coverage for individual students, field trips or organized school activity days as requested.
The float nurse will provide the fullest possible educational opportunity for each district student by minimizing absence due to illness and creating a climate of health and well-being in the district school. Orienting is provided for working 1:1 with students and for each health office.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. RN license, CPR and First Aid certification. NH Department of Education Certification eligible. 3 years of experience in pediatric nursing or other related nursing areas, but not limited to public health, community health, family mental health, emergency and primary care nursing.
