PCA/Unit Aide position –
- For entry-level candidates/unit aides seeking a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) license.
- We provide full financial assistance to pursue an LNA Certificate program.
- We will cover the cost of the program prior to starting it,

PCA/Unit Aide Job Responsibilities;
• Serve and collect food trays. Assist at meal times with encouragement, verbal cueing, and arranging food, including cutting up meal.
• Encourage and engage residents in meaningful activities, and assist in getting residents to group activities. Sit with residents as needed.
• Treat residents with the highest level of dignity and ensuring their safety and act as a resident advocate, upholding the resident’s Bill of Rights.
• Perform duties and other tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Charge Nurse to care for the residents.
• Transport residents to various areas using wheelchair, or means of transportation indicated to be appropriate for resident.
• Relay resident changes and other pertinent information to LNA, and/or Nurse assigned to the floor.
• Maintain proper order of the nursing unit assigned.
• Exhibit safety consciousness in all aspects of job performance and follow best practices with infection control.
Requirements;
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Must be willing to enroll in, and complete, a recognized LNA program within 6 months from the first day of employment.
- Must be 17 years of age
- Must be punctual, dependable, and demonstrate compassion and patience
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Interact professionally with residents, family members, visitors and staff
