POSITION:                      Account Clerk IV

DEPARTMENT:            Police Department

HOURS WORKED:       Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm

AFFILIATION:               Teamsters

SALARY & GRADE:      Grade 9, Wage dependent upon experience

PRIMARY DUTIES

Under the supervision of the Business Coordinator, this multi-faceted position is responsible for performing tasks to administer the Nashua Police Department’s Payroll/Data Analyst functions, Purchasing/Accounts Payable/Benefits functions and Billing/Inventory/Grant Financial Management functions in accordance with the City and Department policies and procedures and CALEA standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a high school diploma (business/accounting college courses) or certified equivalency. Must possess three to five (3-5) years business/accounting or a combined aggregate or related training, experience and education. Must have excellent clerical skills (to include computer proficiency), oral/human relations skills and organizational skills. Must be able to pass a background investigation and criminal history check due to the confidentiality required in the position. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MS Professional Suite or higher (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Must successfully complete minimum 6-month probationary period (up to a year).
