PRIMARY DUTIES: Provides administrative assistance to the Parking Department Manager, including reception duties, greeting and assisting customers and vendors, answering phones, returning phone calls, sorting mail, correspondence, filing, scanning, archiving, and taking and transcribing of meeting minutes.  Provides information and answers inquiries pertaining to parking.  Maintains lease parking customer contracts and organizes and maintains database system. Maintains and updates parking inventories and workflow in appropriate database. Re-organizes files relating to parking documents and contracts and assists with the development of department standard operating procedures and programs. Position will also perform research and compile information for the Economic Development Division. Performs other related duties as assigned. Position is temporary, 25-30 hours per week, varied schedule. $15/hour.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or certified equivalent plus administrative/clerical coursework or experience required. Microsoft Professional Office Suite especially Microsoft Excel, Windows and Word. Familiarity with multi-line telephone system, facsimile machine, printers, photo copier, and miscellaneous office equipment is preferred.  Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
