ABOUT THE JOB

 

In Salem, we specialize in the production and shipment of urethane belts, created in all size and dimensions. Our process starts with raw materials where we use manufacturing equipment and tools to process, package, and then ship the belts to customers around the world.

 

You will be responsible for performing testing as required for: RGAs, Quotes and competitor evaluations. Back-up coverage for Final QC Inspectors absences.

Shift Available:

·       1st Shift (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Monday – Friday)

·       Minor overtime as required

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

·       Background in plastics testing:

o   Tensile & elongation

o   Abrasion testing

o   Dimensioning

§  Calipers & hand-held devices

§  Optical comparator

§  CMS

·       Microsoft Office abilities/user

o   Excel, Word, PowerPoint & others

·       Back-up support for QC Inspection

·       Strong personnel skills:

o   Communication both verbal & written

o   Team player attitude

o   Supervisory skill sets for production interaction

·       Reliable and willing to learn and grow.

 

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
