The individual in this role will be responsible for assisting the Buyers and Inventory Coordinator to ensure materials required for production of Monarch products are acquired, stored, maintained, and delivered in the way that best supports the manufacturing Build Plan to meet customer delivery requirements. PLEASE NOTE: We have no budget for sponsorship or relocation.
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Two years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
-Two years experience with electronic components, devices and electro-mechanical assemblies preferred
-Two years administrative experience required
-A suitable combination of education and experience will be considered
-Experience with MRP systems desired
-A high level of computer literacy required, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
-An understanding of supply-chain management and purchasing principles
-Able to work independently in fast-paced, small office environment while staying focused on corporate goals and results
-Ability to obtain results and work towards aggressive, time sensitive target dates
-Able to adapt and respond to a fast-paced environment while applying attention-to detail
-Excellent organizational and follow through (follow-up) skills

Job Responsibilities (E=Essential Function):
The duties and responsibilities of the Logistics Assistant include, but are not limited to the following:
E: Evaluate Purchase Requests to ensure proper procedures are followed and documentation is in place.
E: Negotiate with vendors to meet requirements and to achieve supply objectives as may be required.
E: Enter and process Purchase Orders in our ERP system.
E: Review requisitions, research and place purchase orders for maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supply items, and tools for production as well as for calibration of internal equipment
E: Communicate with suppliers for problem resolution, returns authorization, etc. in a highly responsive, professional and pro-active manner.
E: As directed, release work orders to satisfy build requirements within the monthly build plan.
E: Perform electronic inventory data transactions to maintain proper inventory accountability.
E: Participate in the resolution of negative on-hand balances.
E: Perform production reporting, processing and other necessary transactions for pick sheet or work order accuracy.
E: Assist the stockroom with the Cycle Count program and other stockroom functions as requested.
E: Participate in activities pertaining to receiving, storing, inventorying, kitting and issuing materials and supplies from within the stockroom.
E: Handle incoming receiving packages; open and count parts to ensure Packing Slip integrity.
E: Prioritize inspection of incoming inventory and its disposition to appropriate storage areas.
