Summary: The Welder’s primary responsibility is tig and mig welding of aluminum and steel (also, stainless steel) parts. Each Job must be run with safety, accuracy and time lines in the welding area. The MIG/TIG Welder’s responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate tools and metals, measuring and assembling metal pieces, using cutting tools, determining gas ratios, drilling holes, regulate gas flow and pressure by turning gas cylinder gauges or valves.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create quality welds according to blueprints.
Inspect welds for accuracy.
Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel/aluminum parts.
Change wire, welding, as needed.
Change gas tanks, as needed.
One year experience working with mig and tig Welding. Positions require good mathematical ability and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, protractor, and tape measures.
