Shelf Management Specialist

The Shelf Management Specialist works in the field with our grocery stores to support store personnel with SKU assortment and retail shelf placement of grocery products. This job is based out of our corporate offices in Pembroke, NH.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for setting up new stores or doing a reset of an existing store.
Ensures the layout/design of the stores meet prescribed requirements.
Directs the plans for equipment installation in order to meet store requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned or required
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

3 to 5 years’ experience in the retail food business including vendor brokerage or food distribution
Able to read and follow planograms for merchandising items at the retail shelf
Experienced in merchandising product at the retail shelf including brand blocking, private label positioning and tag maintenance
Experienced in product rotation based on date coding
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Strong customer service and communication skills
Basic computer skills such as proficiency within Microsoft Office products
Must have a valid state driver’s license
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Works regularly in a grocery store setting
Able to assemble stanchions and gondola shelving to maximize merchandising of product
Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Ability to reach, bend, kneel and crouch
Periodically required to travel including some overnight trips
